On Tuesday, we took an important step forward in the currently often overlooked but critical topic of (Gen-)AI Governance with the pre-launch of the AI Governance Roundtable at IWI-HSG - Institut für Wirtschaftsinformatik, Universität St.Gallen. The event was packed with insights and lively discussions, all centered on AI Governance and how to effectively navigate the evolving landscape of Generative AI.
🌟 Key Highlights from the Event:
• Generative AI Governance is different:
Prof. Dr. Ivo Blohm explored the unique challenges in governing AI systems including for example the EU AI Act.
• Insights from Industry Leaders:
Annika Sophie Schröder from Migros and Dr. Naim Zierau from IBM shared their experiences in AI implementations, providing real-world perspectives on the evolving role of AI and its governance within organizations.
• Research Insights:
Prof. Dr. Ivo Blohm and Kevin Schmitt presented valuable takeaways from their GenAI Governance study, highlighting key strategies for effective and scalable governance in the age of AI.
• Interactive Workshop:
Participating companies were able to present their most pressing AI governance challenges in current use cases and discuss potential solutions.
