Aleksi Aaltonen is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken/USA and serves as a Deputy Editor-in-Chief at the Journal of Information Technology (JIT). In this talk, Prof. Aaltonen discusses how data should not merely be seen as representations of organizational reality, but rather as innovations in their own right. He illustrates how the deliberate design of data-producing arrangements can enable the creation of novel, value-generating data.
