The doctoral students presented their research in four different formats: idea talks, relevance pitches, proposals, and journal paper projects. The direct exchange with professors, postdocs, and fellow researchers opened up new perspectives and provided valuable input for their further research.

A particular highlight of the academic program was the talk by Prof. Dr. Jana Rehse from the University of Zurich on the future of visualization in Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). The talk focused on how the perspectives of users and practitioners can be better taken into account in the further development of modeling and visualization. 💡

Further input came from Prof. Dr. Ivo Blohm on pre-registration in academic submission processes and from Prof. Dr. Mahei M. Li on the role of generative AI in quality assurance and in securing raw research data.

Beyond the academic program, the seminar also offered room for personal exchange and networking. During an art tour at the University of St.Gallen (HSG), participants gained fascinating insights into the university's publicly accessible art collection.

The seminar concluded with a team event at Oktoberfest.
