Design Science Research (DSR) is a widely used research method in information systems that contributes to solving general problems by developing useful artefacts. Although there are already many publications and courses on the DSR method, much of this content is not publicly available or varies greatly in structure and depth. This makes it difficult for beginners in particular to access and learn the method.
The DSR-ACADEMY project aims to overcome these hurdles by developing an e-learning platform that allows students and other interested parties to educate themselves in DSR. In the first phase, important DSR topics will be identified and a platform designed that will later offer three main content areas: 1. interviews with leading DSR authors, 2. interactive learning videos for self-directed learning, 3. practical DSR projects to promote the transfer of knowledge into practice. This platform is designed to make it easier to get started with DSR and to support ongoing learning of the research method. The chair is responsible for the front-end design of the platform and the back-end integration of the content.
Selected project partners: - European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS) at the University of Münster, Germany - University of Liechtenstein, Liechtenstein - University of St.Gallen, Switzerland - University of Jyväskylä, Finland
The project is funded by the Erasmus+ programme, with a funding period from March 2022 to March 2025. Contact person: Dr. Sebastian Reiners (sebastian.reiners@ercis.uni-muenster.de).
