With the aim of strengthening networking between academia and practice, leading women from the world of IT once again came together at the invitation of Prof. Dr. Ingrid Bauer-Hänsel from the University of St.Gallen for the “Women in IT from Academia & Business” roundtable. The exchange not only promoted mutual learning, but also offered space for impulses, concrete use cases and new collaborations.
The focus was on current developments and challenges relating to (generative) AI. Exciting expert contributions shed light on the topics from a wide variety of perspectives:
A particular highlight was the visit to the Bühler AI Space and the guided tour of the production environment, which impressively demonstrated how modern technologies are implemented in industrial contexts.
The event is part of an ongoing roundtable series that takes place twice a year. It pursues three main objectives: to strengthen the bridge between research and practice, to promote mutual learning and to intensify the exchange between women in IT.
A big thank you goes to our host Corinna Rutschi and the Bühler Group for the great setting and the inspiring insights. And of course to all the participants for their openness, their wealth of experience - and for shaping the future together.
Let’s keep the spirit alive: Less hype, more results.
