Abstract: The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed organizational operations, requiring the exploration of new digital capabilities and the renewal of foundational IT infrastructures to maintain competitiveness. Edona Elshan presents a study that investigates the integration of Low-Code Development Platforms (LCDPs) within existing IT landscapes, addressing the strategic, technical, and operational barriers encountered. Through a multiple case study involving three organizations, three interrelated categories of integration challenges are identified: strategic misalignment with organizational goals, technical constraints from legacy systems, and operational governance issues. The findings emphasize the critical need for effective Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) practices to enhance efficiency, flexibility, transparency, and predictability in the integration process. Edona Elshan proposes a holistic framework that synthesizes theoretical insights with practical solutions, advocating for flexible architectural frameworks, centralized knowledge repositories, and robust change management practices. This study contributes to enterprise information systems literature by offering actionable guidance for practitioners and framing LCDPs as key drivers in reshaping modern digital architectures.
