Collaboration with practice

From insight to impact: Collaboration with practice is part of our DNA, and we offer various forms of cooperation.

Data Management and Analytics Community (DMAC)

The Data Management & Analytics Community (DMAC) establishes networks among executives in the field of data and analytics in large organizations, particularly in (financial) service companies, to discuss current issues and practical solutions. Three two-day workshops are held annually to gain insights for tangible organizational improvements on an equal footing. Learn more about our pragmatic motivation, the wide range of covered topics, and over 10 years of experience in practice-oriented research at the Institute of Information Management at the University of St.Gallen.

Download our report Data Mesh at Scale - Exploration of Current Practices in large Organizations here. This exploratory study investigates the introduction of the so-called data mesh concept in large organizations in Switzerland, particularly in the financial services sector. It examines the extent to which these organizations have already implemented the concept or are planning future implementations. With the aim of providing a sound terminological and conceptual basis for the report, it summarizes our current understanding of the data mesh concept and its scaling possibilities for large organizations.

Download our report A New Level of Corporate Data Management and Analytics here. The report serves as a summary of selected topics that have been discussed in DMAC over the past 10 years. These topics include strategy, architecture and organization.
