With five chairs, the Institute of Information Management (IWI-HSG) is one of the largest institutes at the University of St.Gallen. We have been researching business models and the application of digital technologies for more than 30 years. We always place people at the centre of our work. 

In addition to research, teaching is very important to us. We offer courses at all levels and supervise numerous theses. The success of our young academics is proof of our research and teaching performance.

Digitalisation is changing the way we live, learn and work. The field of Information Systems and Digital Business analyses and shapes this change by combining technology and economics. The Institute of Information Systems and Digital Business at the University of St.Gallen offers excellent research and teaching to prepare students for key roles in the digital world.

Symposium „AI and Digital Innovation", March 5, 2024; 09.00am - 12.30pm @SQUARE-HSG

The symposium will focus on various aspects of AI and digital innovation featuring research talks by Prof. Nicholas Berente (University of Notre Dame, USA), Prof. Stefan Seidel (University of Cologne), Prof. Vivianna Fang He (University of St. Gallen) and Prof. Ivo Blohm (University of St. Gallen). Following the talks, there will be an open audience discussion to jointly explore opportunities, challenges, and future research avenues for AI research in Information Systems, Organization Studies and Management Science.
The symposium is open to the public; registration is required.

June 3, 2024, Executive Campus, University of St.Gallen

The St.Gallen "Anwenderforum" has been bringing together more than 100 practitioners from various industries every year for 20 years and offers a platform for exchange and discussion on the burning issues of digitalisation, IT and business innovation. This year, the highly relevant topic of Generative AI will be the main focus.
